In-House Powertrain Calibration
The McLaren GT carved out a unique position in the lineup as the only McLaren designed primarily for long-distance comfort. The M630TE 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 produces 612 HP and 465 lb-ft with a calibration that prioritizes low-end torque delivery and refinement over outright aggression. This conservative factory tune creates excellent tuning headroom, the same 4.0-liter architecture makes over 700 HP in the 720S.
Stage 1 adds up to 68 HP and 80 lb-ft, reaching approximately 680 HP and 545 lb-ft.
Stage 2 delivers up to 85 HP and a substantial 130 lb-ft over stock, that 130 lb-ft torque increase is the headline figure, reaching roughly 697 HP and 595 lb-ft while preserving the GT's effortless touring character.
All calibrations are developed for 91 octane and 93 octane fuel. Custom calibrations are available for 100 octane or other race fuels. Map switching and antilag are offered as optional add-ons.
