In-House Powertrain Calibration
The 2014 model year brought the final McLaren 12C production alongside the newly introduced 650S. The M838T 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8 produces 592 HP and 443 lb-ft, the same proven powertrain, now with four years of manufacturing consistency behind it. The 12C's lightweight carbon MonoCell chassis and hydraulic suspension make it a genuine performance bargain on the used market, especially when tuned.
Stage 1 calibration adds up to 80 HP and 80 lb-ft, reaching approximately 672 HP and 523 lb-ft.
Stage 2 extracts up to 105 HP and 100 lb-ft over stock for a total of roughly 697 HP and 543 lb-ft, putting the aging 12C firmly in 650S territory with no mechanical changes required.
All calibrations are developed for 91 octane and 93 octane fuel. Custom calibrations are available for 100 octane or other race fuels. ECU map switching and antilag are available as add-ons.
