In-House Powertrain Calibration
By 2018, the 720S had established itself as one of the fastest production cars on the planet, routinely embarrassing vehicles costing twice its price. The M840T 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 produces 710 HP and 568 lb-ft with electronic wastegate actuation providing millisecond-precise turbo control across the rev range.
Stage 1 adds up to 125 HP and 115 lb-ft, elevating output to approximately 835 HP and 683 lb-ft.
Stage 2 calibration delivers up to 165 HP and 160 lb-ft over stock, reaching approximately 875 HP and 728 lb-ft. Both coupe and Spider variants share identical calibration, tuning gains apply equally. The improvements in throttle response and mid-range punch are significant even by supercar standards.
All calibrations are developed for 91 octane and 93 octane fuel. Custom calibrations are available for 100 octane or other race fuels. Optional add-ons include ECU map switching and antilag.
