In-House Powertrain Calibration
The 2014 650S replaced the MP4-12C with a significant step forward: 641 HP and 500 lb-ft from the same M838T 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8, now with revised turbocharger hardware, updated engine management, and the aggressive P1-inspired front end. McLaren also reworked the SSG gearbox calibration for noticeably faster shifts.
Stage 1 calibration adds up to 80 HP and 80 lb-ft, pushing output to approximately 721 HP and 580 lb-ft.
Stage 2 delivers up to 105 HP and 100 lb-ft over stock, reaching roughly 746 HP and 600 lb-ft, putting the 650S into 675LT power territory through software alone. Both calibrations are developed entirely in-house on our dyno, with every map validated for safe, consistent performance.
All calibrations are developed for 91 octane and 93 octane fuel. Custom calibrations are available for 100 octane or other race fuels. Map switching and antilag are available as add-ons.
