In-House Powertrain Calibration
The 2019 600LT saw the Spider variant join the coupe, offering open-air Longtail driving with an identical M838TE 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8 making 592 HP and 457 lb-ft. Both body styles share the same engine calibration, meaning tuning gains carry over identically. McLaren also expanded MSO personalization options for the 600LT this year, allowing increasingly bespoke specifications.
Stage 1 adds up to 80 HP and 80 lb-ft of additional output, reaching approximately 672 HP and 537 lb-ft.
Stage 2 calibration pushes up to 105 HP and 100 lb-ft over stock for roughly 697 HP and 557 lb-ft. The 600LT's lightweight construction, 96 kg lighter than the 570S, means every horsepower hits harder.
All calibrations are developed for 91 octane and 93 octane fuel. Custom calibrations are available for 100 octane or other race fuels. Add-ons include map switching and antilag.
