In-House Powertrain Calibration

The 2023 Land Rover Range Rover Sport P360 uses a 3.0L Turbocharged Inline-6 Mild Hybrid (AJ300) rated at 355 HP / 360 PS / 265 kW and 369 lb-ft / 500 Nm.

With Stage 1 software, the powertrain gains 60 HP / 61 PS / 45 kW and 80 lb-ft / 108 Nm. The combined estimate becomes 415 HP / 421 PS / 310 kW and 449 lb-ft / 608 Nm.
Stage 2 develops the package further with 85 HP / 86 PS / 63 kW and 80 lb-ft / 108 Nm, for calculated totals of 440 HP / 446 PS / 328 kW and 449 lb-ft / 608 Nm.

ECU Unlock
An ECU unlock is the process of removing the manufacturer's read/write protection on a vehicle's engine control unit, giving tuners access to the internal calibration data using flash tools. This restores the ability to read the original calibration, modify maps and parameters, and write custom software back to the unit, forming the foundation that other services, like map switching or custom calibration, are built on top of.

ZF 8 Speed TCU Calibration
The ZF 8HP TCU Calibration is a critical component of a properly calibrated performance package. Modern vehicles rely on continuous communication between the engine and transmission control systems to manage torque delivery, shift quality, and overall drivability. While an ECU calibration increases engine output, the factory transmission calibration often remains configured around the original power levels and can continue to employ torque intervention strategies that limit how effectively the additional power is delivered to the wheels.

Our TCU calibration is designed to work in conjunction with the ECU calibration, ensuring both systems operate with a synchronized torque model and allowing the transmission to fully support the increased power and torque produced by the engine.

Key Features:
  • Recalibrated torque intervention strategies
  • Increased transmission torque capacity through optimized control logic
  • Faster, more precise gear changes
  • Optimized shift scheduling and gear retention
  • Enhanced downshift response
  • Reduced torque converter slip where applicable
  • Improved launch and acceleration performance
  • Factory-like drivability during normal operation

By calibrating the ECU and TCU together, the powertrain operates as a unified system, delivering improved acceleration, more consistent performance, and a driving experience that is both more responsive and refined.
